CNN’s Brian Stelter to speak at Ball State

Brian Stelter, CNN’s chief media correspondent, will speak 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 in Pruis Hall. He will be presenting “Truthfully Reporting in the ‘Fake News’ Era.”

Stelter is the anchor of “Reliable Sources,” reports for CNN Business and writes a nightly e-newsletter, according to a press release.

While still a freshman in college, Stelter created a blog dedicated to coverage of the television news industry called TV Newser.

After selling the blog, he became a media reporter at The New York Times in 2007 before working for CNN in November 2013. That same year, Stelter published his New York Times best-selling book, “Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat Word of Morning TV.”

The presentation is free and open to the public.
