The University Cinema hosted a private showing of Fifty Shades Freed on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
After last year’s crowd lining the streets of downtown Livingston, the University Cinema decided to host a private showing by pre-selling movie tickets.
Students could purchase a $10 pre-sale ticket to be admitted the night of the premiere, and expressed excitement to be the first ones in town to watch the third installment of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.
UWA senior, Maci Lankford, said, “I was very excited about the premier private showing. I purchased a pre-sale ticket as soon as they went on sale.”
The Cinema sold pre-sale tickets Friday, Feb. 2 on the CAF Lawn to all UWA students. The pre-sale ticket included admission for the private showing, medium popcorn, medium soda and candy.
“I think this was a great idea,” said senior Sarah Hansen. “Last year so many people were lining the streets it became chaotic. I think this solved the problem, and adding the snacks and drink to the ticket price was a great deal. This was by far the cheapest option for a college student wanting to see the premier.”
Fifty Shades Freed will run at the University Cinema until Feb. 15. If you have any questions regarding UWA Cinema show times, visit the Cinema in downtown Livingston or visit their website.
