The Augsburg women’s hockey team visited UW-Superior on Nov. 20 and won 2-0, giving them their fifth straight win. Goals from Mikayla Jones and Jeanette Bealke proved to be all the Auggies needed thanks to a shutout performance by McKenna Manalli.

Despite outshooting the Yellowjackets 9-2 in the first period, the Auggies were unable to capitalize. Jones, Emily Ach, Kalli Prekker and Bridget Wagner all took two shots. Both teams had power plays near the middle of the period, but neither were able to produce a goal.

They took seven shots, nearly doubling their total for the game. The Auggies also took seven shots, and they were able to hold on for a 2-0 win. Manalli finished the game with 15 saves while recording her first shutout of the season.
